 -: INTRODUCTION of MS EXCEL :-

The full name of MS EXCEL is MICROSOFT OFFICE EXCEL. It is also known as EXCEL.

MS EXCEL is an Electronic Spreadsheet Program. It is used for storing DATA and Organizing Data.

In MS EXCEL many Accounting Tasks can be done easily.

MS EXCEL provides a variety of tools, formulas, and other types of facilities.

Pie charts, charts, graphs etc. can be easily created in MS EXCEL.

MS EXCEL stores as DATA ROWS and COLUMN.

MS EXCEL has the following parts.

01- TITLE BAR

The top bar in MS EXCEL WINDOW. It is called TITLE BAR. In TITLE BAR, we see the name of the file we are working on.

02- QUICK ACCESS TOOL BAR

At the top of the MS EXCEL WINDOW we see QUICK ACCESS TOOL BAR in LEFT SIDE. In QUICK ACCESS TOOL BAR, we get the most used COMMANDS. So that by using them we can do our work quickly.

03- RIBIN

The BLACK BOX shown in PHOTO is called RIBIN. In RIBIN we have been given many TABS and BLOCKS. By using USE, we can easily do our EXCEL work.

04- TABS

In EXCEL we see many types of TABS. Whose USE we can do our work. Following are the TABS given in EXCEL. Eg – HOME, INSERT, PAGE LAYOUT ETC.

05- BLOCKS

We have been given many TABS in RIBIN and we have been given many BLOCKS of those TABS as well. And many OPTIONS have been given in those blocks, with which we can easily do our work.

06- NAME BOX

We see the cell’s ADDRESS in NAME BOX. When we select a CELL, the name ADDRESS of that CELL in NAME BOX appears to us as ROWS and COLUMNS.

07- FORMULA BAR

When we apply a formula in a cell, we see that formula in this FORMULA BAR.

08- ROWS

In MS EXCEL WINDOW, the NUMBERING we see in LEFT SIDE tells us about the ROWS.

09-COLUMNS

The alphabets that appear above the MS EXCEL WINDOW sheet, these alphabets tell us about COLUMNS.

10- STATUS BAR

When we select two or more cells. So after selecting this, we see its AVERAGE, SUM, COUNT in this STATUS BAR.

11- SCROLL BAR

With the help of SCROLL BAR we can LEFT – RIGHT and UP – DOWN to Excel sheet.
